Bruno Oudega has been appointed as director of Mortgages at Syntrus Achmea Real Estate & Finance in Amsterdam. His appointment is subject to approval by the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM).
In the past five years, Bruno Oudega has been the CEO of Quion, one of the largest mortgage service providers in the Netherlands. Quion’s work involves managing the mortgage records for Achmea Bank. Before joining Quion, Bruno Oudega held management positions at businesses such as ABN AMRO Hypothekengroep and Bouwfonds Hypotheken.
Bianca Tetteroo, Vice-Chair of Achmea’s Executive Board, and responsible for Syntrus Achmea Real Estate & Finance is delighted to welcome Bruno Oudega. “His extensive knowledge and experience make him the right person to further shape our ambitions in the mortgage sector. As announced at the end of last year, Achmea wants to achieve targeted growth in this area. This is why we plan to concentrate our currently dispersed mortgage operations in Amsterdam. By utilising economies of scale and pooling knowledge, we can provide our customers with an even better service with appropriate and sustainable solutions. As a result, we can enhance our commercial strength in the housing and mortgage market.”
Achmea operates on the mortgage market with its labels Syntrus Achmea Hypotheken, Attens Hypotheken, Tellius Hypotheken, Centraal Beheer and Woonfonds. The portfolio has strongly grown in recent years and reported assets under management of €26.9 billion at the end of 2019.
Following approval of the appointment, the Syntrus Achmea Real Estate & Finance Board members will be: Arthur van der Wal (Chairman), Mascha Hendrickx (Finance), Nicole Maarsen (Real Estate) and Bruno Oudega (Mortgages).
